2. Information handled and purposes

Email inquiries

When you email [email protected], we may handle your sender email address, any name or other details you include, the subject and message, attachments, and information you voluntarily provide about your inquiry.

We use this information to reply, review error reports or correction requests, and follow up when necessary.

Technical information

Hosting, network, or security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the Site, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, access times, browser or device information, and diagnostic records. Actual information and retention depend on the services and their configuration.

Theme preference

The dark-mode setting is stored in your browser's local storage under the keyrantap-theme. It keeps your preferred appearance between visits. The theme feature itself does not send this preference to Rantap's server.

The Site currently has no account registration, comments, newsletter sign-up form, or contact form, and no separate advertising or analytics tools were identified in the current site code. This policy will be updated if those features are added.

3. Retention

We keep inquiry emails for as long as needed to handle the request. As a general rule, we aim to delete inquiry information within one year after the inquiry has been resolved.

Information may be kept longer when required by law or when reasonably necessary to handle a dispute or other legitimate need. Information retained by email service providers may also be subject to their own retention and deletion policies.

4. Sharing and service providers

Rantap does not sell personal information. We do not disclose information beyond the inquiry purpose except where there is a lawful basis, such as a legal obligation or valid consent.

We plan to use Cloudflare Email Routing to forward incoming messages and a Google Gmail account to receive and manage them. Once configured, these providers may handle information required to deliver and manage the email.

5. Processing outside your country

When Cloudflare and Google services are used for email delivery and receipt, information relating to an email may be transmitted to or processed in countries or regions outside the Republic of Korea, depending on the providers' global infrastructure.

This may include the sender's email address, any included name, message subject and body, attachments, and information needed to deliver the email. The purpose is to forward and receive inquiries and respond to them. Handling and retention are subject to this policy and the providers' applicable terms.

Specific destination countries, recipients, transfer methods, and retention details must be verified against the actual email-routing setup and service terms. If you do not send an email, we cannot receive or respond to an inquiry through that address.

6. Deletion

We aim to delete information without undue delay when its retention period ends or it is no longer needed. Electronic information is deleted from the relevant account or system, and any separately printed material is disposed of so it cannot be reused.

7. Your rights and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. Email your request to the address below. We may need additional information to verify or handle a request.

8. Security

Rantap aims to take appropriate measures to protect information, including managing access to the email account, using information only as needed to handle inquiries, and deleting information when it is no longer needed.

9. Cookies, advertising, and analytics

The current site code does not show separate advertising or web analytics tags. The theme preference uses browser local storage, which is distinct from a cookie.

If Rantap introduces Google AdSense or another advertising service, Google or third-party vendors may use cookies, IP addresses, web beacons, or other identifiers to serve or measure ads. Before advertising is activated, this policy will be updated to reflect the actual services, data handling, personalized-ad settings, and available user choices.

10. External links

Rantap may link to external websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Rantap is not responsible for how those external sites handle information.
